About the Opportunity

TAKON Talent is partnering with a growing restoration services organization to identify an experienced Operations Manager to lead mitigation operations in the Springfield, Missouri market.

This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day mitigation operations, managing production personnel, driving operational efficiency, maintaining service quality standards, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate has strong restoration industry experience, understands water, fire, and mold mitigation processes, and has a proven track record of leading teams in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Operations Manager will oversee all mitigation operations, including staffing, scheduling, project execution, fleet management, vendor coordination, quality control, and operational compliance. This individual will serve as a key leader within the organization, working closely with field personnel and executive leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, operational discipline, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Leadership

  • Lead and manage all mitigation production personnel and daily field operations
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop restoration team members
  • Establish accountability and performance standards across the department
  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining high service and quality standards
  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve operational and financial objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety requirements

Project & Resource Management

  • Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and workforce planning
  • Coordinate crews, equipment, vehicles, and subcontractors across active projects
  • Monitor project progress and address scheduling conflicts proactively
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to company standards
  • Maintain operational readiness of facilities, equipment, and fleet assets

Customer & Insurance Relations

  • Promote a high-quality customer experience throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support communication with customers, clients, insurance carriers, and adjusters
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures that enhance client satisfaction
  • Address operational concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate project documentation, job notes, photos, moisture readings, and reporting
  • Maintain consistency between field documentation and estimating platforms
  • Monitor compliance with company, insurance, and regulatory requirements
  • Support operational reporting and performance tracking initiatives

Vendor & Inventory Management

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to support project execution
  • Oversee warehouse inventory and operational supply management
  • Ensure equipment, vehicles, and consumables are properly maintained and available
  • Manage operational expenses and coordinate invoice processing with accounting

Team Development

  • Train team members on restoration best practices, documentation standards, and technology platforms
  • Mentor emerging leaders and support long-term staff development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of restoration, mitigation, or field operations leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of water, fire, mold, and emergency restoration services
  • Experience managing crews, project schedules, and operational workflows
  • Knowledge of restoration software, estimating platforms, and moisture documentation systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Experience

  • IICRC certifications
  • Experience leading multiple crews and large-scale mitigation operations
  • Previous responsibility for fleet, warehouse, or equipment management
  • Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters
