We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for an experienced Operations Manager with a technical background to join their on-site engineering leadership team at a high-profile, prestigious commercial site in Westminster.\nThis is a shift-based position (4 on, 4 off) overseeing all technical operations, including engineering teams, the control room, and Building Management Systems (BMS).\nKey Responsibilities:\n * \n Lead the day-to-day operations of the engineering shift team to ensure the smooth running of all M&E systems\n * \n Oversee and manage the Control Room and BMS, ensuring optimal performance and rapid response to issues\n * \n Act as the senior point of contact on shift, taking responsibility for operational decisions and technical escalation\n * \n Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and statutory requirements\n * \n Manage staff performance, rota planning, and shift handovers\n * \n Work closely with the client and internal stakeholders to maintain excellent service standards\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n * \n Proven experience in a building services management or senior shift role\n * \n Strong technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering (essential)\n * \n Excellent knowledge of BMS systems, control rooms, and critical building services\n * \n Confident leader with strong people management and communication skills\n * \n Experience in prestigious or critical environments (e.g. financial services, government, high-end commercial)\n * \n Experience of all HVAC/Building services plant.\nWhat’s On Offer:\n * \n Competitive salary of £64,000 - £65,000\n * \n 4 on, 4 off shift pattern\n * \n Outstanding benefits package\n * \n Work on a landmark site with cutting-edge systems and high standards\n * \n Supportive team culture with real opportunities for progression\nIf you’re a technically skilled and people-focused operations manager ready to step into a flagship role, we’d love to hear from you.\nIf you do not have experience in building service maintenance and are not familiar with HVAC systems on a maintenance level your application will not be successful as the client needs someone with a strong background in this sector who can hit the ground running, if your from construction, projects, logistics etc your skill set will not be right for the role as the client is not looking for a trainee but an experienced operations manager within maintenance.\nIt is also essential that you are qualified in eiether electrical or mechanical, this is non negotiable and will result in your application being rejected if you don't have these qualifications
