Operations Manager - Shift

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for an experienced Operations Manager with a technical background to join their on-site engineering leadership team at a high-profile, prestigious commercial site in Westminster.

This is a shift-based position (4 on, 4 off) overseeing all technical operations, including engineering teams, the control room, and Building Management Systems (BMS).

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the engineering shift team to ensure the smooth running of all M&E systems

*

Oversee and manage the Control Room and BMS, ensuring optimal performance and rapid response to issues

*

Act as the senior point of contact on shift, taking responsibility for operational decisions and technical escalation

*

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and statutory requirements

*

Manage staff performance, rota planning, and shift handovers

*

Work closely with the client and internal stakeholders to maintain excellent service standards

What We’re Looking For:

*

Proven experience in a building services management or senior shift role

*

Strong technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering (essential)

*

Excellent knowledge of BMS systems, control rooms, and critical building services

*

Confident leader with strong people management and communication skills

*

Experience in prestigious or critical environments (e.g. financial services, government, high-end commercial)

*

Experience of all HVAC/Building services plant.
