Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Operations Manager will travel extensively reviewing site locations and operations team performance. The Operations Manager is responsible to provide leadership and strategic direction to Operations Managers and Project Coordinators for the implementation of Site and systems related to SQT function, quality containment reviews, part clearing, non-conforming/OGM Material, MIS administration, Yard Audits, and special activities including serving as a customer liaison. This is in the automotive and commercial factory/warehouse environment.
· Extensive Travel at times. Must be wiling to travel between Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina
· Serve as Customer liaison.
· Interface with various customer groups like Quality, Logistics, Material planning etc. to support containment related activities.
· Review Scrap Management Process.
· Review, Promote and Train to Containment processes in all areas of operations at local and off-site locations.
· Review, Promote and Train Pre-Series and Electronic parts clearing processes.
· Oversee the Development and Maintenance of standard processes, procedures work instructions.
· Conduct training of personnel to Standardized Processes.
· Promote and Manage Leadership Development.
· Develop and Maintain the Document Control system.
· Oversee and Promote the Corrective/Preventive Action Record system.
· Support continuous improvement at all levels of Field Operations and Corporate Support.

· Body of Knowledge
Operation managers must have knowledge and understanding of Quality Engineering principals, containment practices and have ability to implement, execute, and supervise team performance.
Must have good problem-solving knowledge and ability and can effectively communicate both written and orally.
Must possess working knowledge of continuous improvement, corrective/preventive action, and root cause analysis.
Must be able to set up and perform process measurements using KPI/Metrics. You must be able to perform training.
They should demonstrate strong management skills. It is also required that he/she have as solid understanding of Microsoft Office and Email.
It is that the Operations Manager have PPAP, FMEA, PSO and SPC experience. Follow and implement 5S policies.
· Technical Requirements
The Operation Manager is required to read and understand technical and non-technical documents as they relate to quality functions within the business. This includes the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
· Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive experience .
