Assistant Service Manager — Handyman & Home Repair


Kingfisher Recruiting has been hired to find an Assistant Service Manager for Home Repair.

Our client is a growing Handyman company assisting homeowners and business owners with handyman work. This is a growing company with no limits and we are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to serve in an Operations Management role to continue moving the business forward. Position Overview:
The Assistant Service Manager plays a key role in coordinating residential repair and remodeling projects from start to finish. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial meetings with homeowners to assess project needs, goals, and expectations.
  • Schedule and lead on-site walkthroughs with subcontractors and other key personnel.
  • Prepare and present detailed project proposals and estimates based on walkthrough findings.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure work is completed on time and within scope.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, providing consistent and professional communication throughout each project.
  • Coordinate project kickoffs with carpenters and subcontractors, ensuring alignment on scope, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Oversee project progress and verify that all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Review invoices and documentation for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Support field teams by managing materials, scheduling, and logistical coordination as needed.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain project efficiency and client satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in residential construction, home repair, or carpentry or project management .
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and timelines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and basic project management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
