George Fox University's George Fox Digital (GFD) is seeking a full-time Operations Manager. GFD plays a key role in the university's mission to deliver accessible, innovative, and transformative learning experiences for our students. GFD is helping shape the university's strategic direction by driving digital innovation, expanding educational reach, and increasing long-term sustainability. This department serves both traditional undergraduate students (Summer Online, Cornerstone Curriculum, First Year Online) as well as nontraditional students (Accelerated Online Degree) and an expanding public audience (Certificates, George Fox TALKS).
About the Job:
The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate day-to-day processes for all operations within George Fox Digital, and is a critical connection point among the many and growing projects within the department. We desire the one who occupies this role to have strong communicative, administrative, organizational, project management, and leadership skills to negotiate the GFD system, but also to have a creative touch for input on video products, course design, content, and marketing. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Meeting regularly with the Vice President of GFD and helping create a coherent office environment, day-to-day procedures, and group culture for GFD. The Operations Manager will coordinate across all GFD faculty and staff to ensure clear communication and the success of the mission.
- Overseeing and managing the entire GFD operational budget by collaborating with the Finance Office, tracking monthly expenses, and balancing the budget throughout the fiscal year. Key administrative duties will include collaboration with IT regarding hardware/software needs, supporting the Program Coordinator with contract creation and course scheduling, managing purchase order systems, and managing department office supply needs.
- Serving on the department's Leadership Team, actively contributing to team culture, assisting in high-level departmental support, and providing insight into system improvements for the department. The Operations Manager currently supervises one employee, the Student Support Specialist, providing care for online students across our programming. As part of the leadership team, the Operations Manager also remains and becomes aware of current trends in educational technology, digital course design, and other innovative procedures in the field.
- Supporting GFD groups, events, and initiatives as needed throughout the year: e.g., GFD's video production team through scheduling and purchasing; GFD's digital design team through collaboration and administrative support; events connected with our AOD programming ("Connect" event and graduation banquets).
- Coordinating with the university's marketing and enrollment teams on key processes for student recruitment and program support (e.g., for Summer Online, Accelerated Online Degree program).
- Assessing operations within GFD and offering critical and creative feedback to the team regarding processes and standard operating procedures.
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
- By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrating awareness, respect, and appreciation for of culture, background, , , political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.

A Day in the Life of This Position:
As Operations Manager at George Fox Digital, you'll ensure that projects stay on track, managing timelines, budgets, and systems that support our growing portfolio of innovative programs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, support financial oversight, and strengthen internal communication. Each day, you'll help build the operational foundation that allows our creative, mission-driven team to thrive.
We're looking for candidates who have:
- A Bachelor's Degree; preference for relevant graduate degrees or commensurate industry experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in administrative leadership, project management and organization. PM certifications (CAPM, PMP) or willingness to pursue is encouraged, but not required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience or understanding of key educational technologies and trends; experience with online programs or as an online student is but not required.

- Experience with budget management (e.g., with a system like Vena).
- Experience with online programs or as an online student.
- Strong desire to work with innovative and nontraditional university programs and students.
