We’re on the lookout for true leaders. We need a new General Manager to take the top job and make it their own. Taking ownership of the day-to-day hotel direction, maximizing financial returns, driving people development and empowering our team to create memorable guest experiences every step along the way.
A little taste of your day-to-dayEvery day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Working in capacity closely with Hotel Ownership as active GM.
- Developing programmes and initiatives to increase team engagement and achieve against performance and development goals
- Maintaining compliance with all required brand and service standards – collaborating with colleagues to exceed guest expectations
- Directing everyday activity and assignments to enable your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Implement service recovery guidelines in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Responding to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Help ownership drive revenues by implementing and monitoring financial and operating plans to safeguard guest satisfaction, and maximize return on investment.
- Building relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities
- Leading annual capital, cash flow and sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets
- Lead, motivate, and develop hotel staff, ensuring proper training, franchise compliance, performance reviews, and adherence to hotel policies.
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
- Two to five years’ prior hotel management experience as a AGM or General Manager or equivalent combination of education and experience
- IHG, Hilton, Marriot, or Choice Brand experience
- Must have prior experience cross working with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure activities are done in a timely manner
- Previous experience in housekeeping and/or maintenance
- Previous extended stay experience or experience in a hotel of similar size and complexity
- Resourceful self-starter who actively seeks out information through the brand to accomplish tasks
- Organized with a schedule and detail oriented to ensure activities are running smoothly and on track.
- Must speak fluent English
- Spanish speaking is a plus
