Operations Manager - Fulfillment & Production

Nickel & Suede is a Kansas City-based fashion accessories brand known for pioneering lightweight leather earrings and redefining everyday jewelry through bold, wearable design. We manufacture most of our products in-house and are expanding into collegiate licensing, custom gifting, and new categories like leather goods. As we grow, we're looking for a reliable, organized, and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our fulfillment and production teams, ensuring everything we make and ship meets our standards of quality, timeliness, and care.
What You’ll Do
- Own and execute a rolling two-week production schedule based on inventory levels, sales forecasting, and business needs
- Lead the warehouse and production teams in daily operations across fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement
- Adjust staffing and workflow during high and low volume periods, including major sales events
- Hire, train, and manage both full-time and part-time team members
- Maintain high standards for product quality, order accuracy, and fulfillment speed
- Track and respond to KPIs related to labor efficiency, output, and turnaround time
- Oversee raw material receiving, inventory flow, and supply restocking
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and efficient warehouse and production environment
- Collaborate with internal teams to support launches and go-to-market plans
- Work closely with the CFO to act on data trends, cost analysis, and inventory reporting

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or production operations, including team leadership
- Experience with scheduling, staffing, and inventory management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, reporting tools, and scheduling software
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet as needed
- Bonus: Experience in ecommerce, direct-to-consumer, or small manufacturing environments
Compensation
- Starting at $65,000/year depending on experience
