Company Background: Dynamic Metal Innovations is a metal fabrication and machining company specializing in laser cutting, machining, and rapid prototyping. Our sister company is Aluma Flowers, LLC. We are a company that is going on it's 7th year in business with 30 employees. We are growing fast and are looking to add to our talented team!!!

Our best and most demanding customer is supporting Space X, in Brownsville, TX. We are one of their premier vendors that supports the tooling and manufacturing of Starship. We just opend a second shop location in Brownsville, TX. Opportunity to travel to this location as needed.

Job Title: Operations Manager

A sheet metal and machining job shop operations manager oversees daily production, scheduling, and staff to ensure on-time delivery and optimize productivity. Key responsibilities include managing production workflows, supervising employees, ensuring quality standards, and handling inventory and resource allocation. Strong skills in areas such as sheet metal, CNC machining, blueprint reading, and scheduling are essential for success.

Core responsibilities

• Production management: Oversee and manage the daily production and operations, ensuring all jobs are scheduled and completed on time.
• Staff leadership: Supervise, motivate, and train the workforce, including machinists and programmers, on machinery, equipment, and standard operating procedures.
• Process improvement: Develop and implement company policies and improve work processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Quality control: Ensure that production meets company standards and quality expectations.
• Resource management: Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods, and coordinate with other department heads to meet organizational goals.

Required skills and qualifications

• Technical skills: Proficiency in CNC machining, blueprint reading, and understanding of equipment like lathes and mills.
• Management skills: Experience in production scheduling and managing a team of skilled workers.
• Educational background: On the job training or an associate's degree or higher in a relevant field like manufacturing or engineering.
• Leadership experience: A strong background in a relevant leadership role is prefered.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to perform accurate calculations and estimates.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
