Operations Manager (Early-Career) - Club OODAZU
Job DescriptionJob Description
About Club OODAZU
Club OODAZU is a first-of-its-kind family sports and enrichment facility in Decatur, GA — offering youth and adult sports, S.T.E.A.M. programs, camps, parties, and more. This is our newest concept and part of the OODAZU family — the premier, multi-location destination for children’s play, parties, camp, and retail experiences.
We are looking for an early-career Operations Manager ready to take the next step into a full management role. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will gain experience across all areas of facility operations — from scheduling and staffing to guest service and event execution — with the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role as OODAZU continues to expand. If you thrive in a busy, high-energy environment and want to build a career in recreation or facility management & operations, this is the place for you.
This is a rare opportunity to gain broad, hands-on management experience early in your career. As Club OODAZU grows, so will this role — with opportunities for expanded responsibilities, leadership development, and increased compensation for high performers.
Schedule
This is an on-site role with an expected weekly commitment of 45–50 hours:
- Wednesday–Friday: 12 PM – 9 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Monday & Tuesday: Days off (on call / available as needed; responsive to urgent issues)
Flexibility is essential — you’ll gain real-world experience managing an active facility and will occasionally be called in outside these hours for urgent needs. Typical work week is 45-50 hours. The above schedule does not include camp days (these specific weekdays begin earlier around 8am).

Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Oversee daily cleaning and upkeep of courts, turf, bathrooms, common areas, and café

- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment servicing
Café / Food & Beverage Management
- Manage café operations, including inventory, food safety compliance, and staffing
- Jump behind the counter when needed to keep service moving during busy times

- staff shortages,
- urgent facility or maintenance issues,
- customer service escalations,
- vendor delivery problems,
- technology malfunctions, or
- other time-sensitive business concerns that require managerial oversight

Program & Event Support
- Act as the operational point person for leagues, tournaments, parties, and events
- Be hands-on during setup and breakdown, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish
Administrative Duties
