About the Role\n

We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to lead the full order-to-ship workflow across two distinct business segments under one roof: high-volume robotic automation for commercial OEM customers, and precision aerospace & defense (A&D) machining to AS9100 and ITAR/DFARS requirements. This is a shop-floor leadership role with direct accountability for on-time delivery, quality, labor and machine utilization, purchasing, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Areas of Responsibility\n

•       End-to-end production scheduling across both workflows

\n

•       Oversee order entry and customer service functions. Serve as escalation point on delivery, expedites, and corrective actions

\n

•       Daily and weekly production operations — directing cell leads, machinists, programming/ setup personnel

\n

•       Optimize OEE, cycle time, scrap, labor efficiency, capacity planning

\n

•       MRP, purchasing, outside service coordination

\n

•       Inventory accuracy and turns across raw material, WIP, finished goods, tooling, and consumables

\n

•       Oversee shipping & receiving, ensuring on-time shipment, import/ export compliance

\n

•       Operations budget — direct and indirect labor, tooling, freight

\n

•       Regular KPI reporting to leadership

\n

•       Team development: coaching leads and machinists, recruitment and skills development

\n

•       Safety performance and awareness

\n

•       Shop organization and cleanliness

Required Qualifications\n

•       10+ years of operations experience in a precision CNC machining environment, with 5+ years in a management role overseeing multiple functions

\n

•       Direct experience with both high-volume automated production and high-mix, low-volume precision machining

\n

•       Working knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and DFARS flowdown requirements

\n

•       Hands-on familiarity with CNC milling/turning, multi-axis machining, robotic load/unload cells, and gauging

\n

•       Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor , JobBOSS2 a plus)

\n

•       Demonstrated results with lean manufacturing tools: VSM, 5S, Kaizen, 8D problem-solving

\n

•       Basic understanding of operations financials — able to track spending against budget and support capital justification requests

\n

•       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Industrial Technology — or equivalent experience

\n

•       U.S. Person status required (ITAR)

\n

Nice to Have\n

•       Experience implementing or scaling robotic automation cells (FANUC, Universal Robots, other), integrated CMM and lights-out manufacturing

\n

•       APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or Lean certification

\n

•       PPAP/APQP experience; AS9100 internal auditor training

\n

•       Spanish fluency
