Job Summary\nOperations Manager – Coventry / West Midlands\nAre you an experienced Operations Manager looking to take the next step in your career? We offer a rewarding role where you’ll lead operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and work alongside passionate professionals dedicated to delivering outstanding service.\nLeading the operational area and manage the development, monitoring and adherence to quality and productivity metrics onsite alongside the management team.
Implement and achieve agreed targets in the operational area. Provide continuous improvement in operations processes. Monitoring targets, setting and following up on actions in case of non-achievement of the set KPIs\nWhy you’ll love working with us?\n * Competitive salary of £53,000-£54,000 pro rata with a 6-month fixed term contract\n * Be part of a company committed to innovation, safety, and sustainability\n * Comprehensive training and career development opportunities\nKey Responsibilities include:\n * Leading the operational area in cooperation with the Supervisors and Team Leaders\n * Ensure Quality control & improvements whilst meeting costs and contractual KPIs\n * Implementing and enforcing all processes in the operations area, as well as monitoring compliance and adjusting when changes are needed\n * Responsible for the implementation and achievement of agreed targets in the operational area.\n * Provide continuous improvement in operations processes.\n * Manage the development, monitoring and adherence to quality and productivity metrics on site alongside the QEHS Manager and Business Controller\n * Key contact person for all customer-specific issues related to operations\n * Responsible for Inventory & Admin Functions, ensuring controlled cost in line with budget\n * Leading site continuous improvement agenda across Kaizens & JDI’s\n * Indirect reports up to 30\n*\nWhat we’re looking for:\n * Proven experience in logistics or warehouse management\n * Strong communication and leadership skills\n * Competent with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office\n * A proactive, results-focused approach with attention to detail\n * Good level of Maths and English (additional a bonus)\n * An exceptional listener\n * Hold a proactive in handling competing priorities and meet your deadlines and commitments\nAligra has been established since 2007 and partners with some of the UK’s leading logistics companies.
