Role Overview:

We are hiring an Operations Manager to run the day-to-day operations of Class Roofing. This is a senior role reporting directly to the Owner. You will own production from contract hand-off through final inspection, manage the customer experience, lead the production team, and partner with the Owner on financials, KPIs, and operational growth.

You will directly manage our Site Supervisor today and a future Project Manager as the team grows. Your job is to make sure every job that gets sold is built to standard, delivered on time, and produces a homeowner who refers us. You will also be the person who turns how-we-do-things into written SOPs the team can run on without you in the room.

This role is right for someone who loves building systems, leading a team, and owning numbers — not just managing chaos.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day production operations from contract hand-off through final inspection.
• Lead, coach, and hold the production team accountable — Site Supervisor today, Project Manager in the future.
• Manage project costing, material orders, and crew scheduling to hit profitability and timeline targets.
• Approve and reconcile subcontractor invoices, change orders, and material purchases.
• Conduct on-site quality checks and final walkthroughs to verify craftsmanship, safety, and scope.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for homeowners — handle escalations, warranty issues, and tough conversations.
• Build, document, and refine SOPs across production, customer experience, and team management.
• Run weekly leadership meetings with the Owner to review KPIs, project pipeline, team performance, and process gaps.
• Track weekly production targets (projects closed and installed) and adjust scheduling, crews, and resources to stay on pace.
• Partner with the Owner on financial reviews, job cost analysis, and operational planning.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing on lead-to-job hand-off so every sold deal launches cleanly into production.
• Build the team — help onboard future production hires as we grow.

Requirements

• 3+ years of operations, project management, or production leadership experience in roofing or an adjacent home service/home improvement trade (HVAC, remodeling, restoration, exteriors, etc.). 5+ years .
• Direct people-management experience — you have led a team, set goals, and held people accountable to results.
• Strong understanding of residential job-site operations, scheduling, material flow, and quality standards. Roofing experience is a plus, not a requirement.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, job costing, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Comfortable owning numbers — gross profit, production volume, customer satisfaction — and reporting on them weekly.
• Excellent communication skills with homeowners, crews, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Proficiency with project management software, JobNimbus or similar CRM (Roofr, AccuLynx, Buildertrend, etc.), and digital documentation tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in the field, climb ladders, lift materials, and navigate active job sites when required.
• High level of professionalism, organization, follow-through, and humility — we will teach what you don't know if you bring the right character.

Results & Communication Standards

• Maintain a customer satisfaction rating of 4.8–5.0 stars on completed projects. Homeowners describe the experience as professional, responsive, and worth the price.
• Own gross profit margin targets on installed jobs through tight job costing, material control, and crew management. Specific GP goals are discussed as part of the performance bonus structure.
• Track weekly production targets — projects closed and installed — and adjust scheduling and resources to stay on pace through seasonal swings.
• Build and refine SOPs across production and customer experience so the company runs on systems, not memory.
• Run a weekly leadership meeting with the Owner to review KPIs, project pipeline, team performance, and process improvements.
• Keep all production timelines, job schedules, crew assignments, photos, notes, and homeowner communication current in JobNimbus and the production calendar so the team has full visibility at all times.
• Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, or material/labor problems and implement fixes; escalate systemic issues to the Owner with a recommended solution.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and at company standard for craftsmanship, safety, and homeowner experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
