Position Overview:

The Operations Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the effective, efficient, and compliant functioning of Enlace Chicago across all four locations. This role oversees organizational operations, financial and resource management, facilities, compliance, and staff supervision, while partnering closely with executive leadership and program teams to align operations with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Operations and Organizational Alignment

  • Develop, implement, and oversee operational policies, procedures, and internal controls that support organizational effectiveness.
  • Align daily operations with Enlace Chicago’s mission, strategic priorities, and long-term goals.
  • Continuously assess and improve operational systems to support growth, impact, and sustainability.

Multi-Site Operations Management

  • Manage operations for all four Enlace Chicago sites, ensuring consistency, quality, and equitable resource allocation across locations.
  • Address site-specific operational needs and challenges while maintaining organizational standards.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication across sites and departments.

Financial Oversight & Resource Management

  • Manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and review financial reports in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Support development and fundraising efforts by providing operational and financial data as needed.
  • Ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.

Human Resources & Staff Management

  • Support human resources functions, including recruitment and onboarding in collaboration with the Human Resources team.
  • Foster a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment that reflects Enlace Chicago’s values.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and best practices.
  • Maintain safe, supportive, and compliant environments across all sites.
  • Identify and mitigate organizational risks through proactive planning and oversight.

Program & Departmental Support

  • Collaborate with program managers to optimize workflows and operational systems that support effective program delivery.
  • Ensure departments have the resources, infrastructure, and support needed to achieve program goals.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership and program teams.

Facilities, Logistics & Assets

  • Support facilities management and property operations.
  • Oversee equipment, inventory, and logistics across all sites.
  • Ensure facilities and assets are maintained, functional, and aligned with program and staff needs and organization standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to facilities and operational services.

Leadership, Partnerships & Organizational Development

  • Support staff development and capacity-building initiatives across the organization.
  • Build and maintain partnerships that strengthen operational effectiveness and organizational impact.
  • Contribute to organizational planning, leadership decision-making, and long-term strategy.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Significant experience in operations leadership, preferably in a nonprofit or multi-site organization
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, compliance, and staff supervision
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation: The salary range for this position annually is between 60,000 and 68,000. Salary is commensurate with experience in addition to the generous benefits package listed below.

  • Health benefits. Enlace Chicago offers you and your family access to a low-cost comprehensive health care plan, which includes medical (Bluecross Blue Shield), dental (Guardian), and vision (VSP) coverage.
  • Enlace Chicago also provides life insurance coverage and short-term and long-term insurance at no cost to you with options of additional coverage.
  • Retirement program. Enlace Chicago offers a voluntary 403(B) plan which begins at a 1% contribution. Enrollment is available after a 90-day grace period beginning on the first day of employment. An enrollment packet will be mailed to you.
  • Paid time off. You will receive 96 hours of Upon Hire hours, which will be prorated depending on your start date. After your 3rd month, you will accrue 3.33 hours per pay period or a total of 6.66 per month . All vacation days are considered above and beyond the approved holiday schedule. Enlace has 12 paid holidays with a Holiday week between Christmas and New Year’s Day that will not be deducted from your PTO.
