Operations Manager – Barnsco Texas (Dallas, TX)

About the Role
Barnsco Texas is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily branch operations across multiple departments including Inventory Control, Dispatch, Service Centers, and Rebar Fabrication/Production. This position is responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining cost control, and ensuring a strong culture of safety and accountability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has proven success managing people, processes, and performance within construction materials, manufacturing, or distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop department managers to ensure operational goals are met.
• Oversee daily branch operations to ensure on-time delivery, production accuracy, and inventory control.
• Drive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Manage facility and fleet maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
• Develop and manage branch operating budgets and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Recruit, train, and retain high-performing team members, ensuring alignment with Barnsco’s core values.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized workplace in accordance with OSHA and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience in construction materials, manufacturing, or distribution operations.
• Proven success managing multi-department operations with measurable results in efficiency and profitability.
• Strong budgeting, financial analysis, and operational planning skills.
• Experience with Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma principles ().
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field ().
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish .
