Operations Manager
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:
Mustard Seed and Noodle Express looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to join our restaurant company - someone who’s passionate about people, obsessed with great guest experiences, and thrives on making things run like clockwork. With 8 locations across multiple states (both full-service and quick-service), we need a hands-on leader who can juggle costs, labor, staffing, and service — all while keeping the vibe upbeat and the food fantastic.
If you love building strong teams, solving operational puzzles, and creating spaces where guests feel truly cared for, this might be your next big move. We believe that when we take care of our people, they take care of our guests — and that’s the secret sauce to everything we do.
What you’ll do:
Lead with Purpose: Partner with General Managers and their teams to ensure smooth, guest-focused operations across all locations. Model strong leadership, professionalism, and teamwork every day. Maintain brand standards across all locations.
Drive Performance: Ensure managers get the best out of their teams by setting clear expectations, recognizing great work, and coaching for growth. Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to ensure each restaurant runs efficiently, profitably, and with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
Manage the Metrics: Monitor and guide performance in key areas including sales growth, cost of goods sold (COGS), and labor spend - ensuring each location meets company standards.
Train and Grow: Provide ongoing training for both managers and crew, covering operational best practices and personal development. You’ll be both a student and a teacher.
Coach with Care: Guide store managers through employee development, progressive discipline, identifying employees who are not meeting standards, and growing those who excel — offering support through one-on-one coaching and group sessions.
Maintain Standards: Ensure all restaurants meet cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and staffing expectations.
Recruit and Retain: Actively evaluate team performance and help recruit top talent to build strong, guest-focused teams.
Monitor Key Metrics: Ensure each location maintains COGs and Labor goals with an eye on theoretical and actual margins.
Tech-Savvy Operations: Utilize tools like Toast and Restaurant365 to streamline operations and support data-driven decisions.
What you will bring:
· 5 or more years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant operations.
· Proven track record of driving operational performance and developing high-performing teams.
· Strong business acumen with experience managing P&Ls and operational KPIs.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
