Our client is a one of the UK's leading engineering firms looking for an experienced Operations/Production Manager (with a strong background in welding and fabrication) to lead and support a skilled team of engineers and technicians within a fast-growing, dynamic organisation.\n\nA pivotal leadership role where you will work to optimise shop floor performance, enhance processes, and contribute to continued growth of the business. \n\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication and excel in fast-paced manufacturing environment driving operational efficiency and delivering exceptional customer outcomes . A strategic, hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence and a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.\n\nPermanent on-site Coventry - Hours of work 7:30am - 4pm Mon - Thurs & 7:30am -3pm Fri\n\nResponsibilities\n\nCollaborate closely with Senior Managers to align operational and production activities, ensuring seamless integration and optimal efficiency across departments.\nLead the planning and execution of all projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nConduct comprehensive technical contract reviews, ensuring all customer requirements and specifications are clearly understood, communicated, and met.\nDrive continuous improvement in laser cutting, fabrication, and associated manufacturing processes, with a focus on improving efficiency, enhancing quality, and reducing operational costs.\nAct as a key point of contact for customers, managing relationships, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.\nOversee production scheduling, ensuring all work is prioritised and planned effectively to meet delivery deadlines.\nManage and oversee specific project work packages, ensuring clear coordination between departments and timely execution.
