POSITION TITLE: NJPCA – Operations Manager
REPORTS TO: President and CEO
STATUS: Full-time, exempt
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
A Master’s degree/MBA is required. 5+ years in a non-profit administration in a managerial/leadership role is essential. Experience in managing federal grant-funded projects and staff in a non-profit environment is highly desired; experience with other relevant settings such as institutions of higher education, health policy, civic, and advocacy organizations is a plus. Experience in overseeing operational activities including financial and human resources systems at a similarly sized non-profit organization or division is also desirable. Looking for excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, effective team building, communication with individuals and groups, facilitation skills and communicating organizational values to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to write issue briefs, performance briefs, understand and create visual representation of financial and other data is essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies, researches, and provides input to the President/CEO on matters as assigned including, day-to-day operations, budgets, strategic planning and NJPCA personnel.
- Conducts research on emerging health, political and economic topics, develops briefings and drafts reports and correspondence for the President/CEO.
- Under the guidance of the CEO, provides full oversight of all operational, finance and personnel activities. Implements systems to ensure highly effective and efficient operations.
- Responsible for implementing new processes and approaches to achieve the mission and strategic goals of the organization.
- Develops and administers operational and administrative policies, standards and practices that advance the organization’s missions, values and goals. Review all formal finance, human resources, operational and IT-related procedures, processes, and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and manage the systems going forward.
- Supervises the Senior Account to ensure financial systems and accounting software provides the organization with quick access to financial information and enables strategic budgeting.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to travel within the State, region and United States. Must attend meetings, travel to Health Center sites and travel out of state.
SALARY RANGES: Dependent on qualifications and experience.
