WHO WE ARE

Red Velvet NYC is a small food manufacturing company, specializing in ready-to-bake cookie dough and DIY Baking Kits. Our mission is to make it fun and easy to bake at home! Founded in 2015, we are constantly growing, and looking for agile, knowledgable, and proactive team members. Located in Mount Kisco NY, we are a Monday - Friday operation from 8am-430pm.

We're looking for an Operations Manager who can run the day to day operation of our growing business.

SKILLS

• Develop an efficient, clean, safe and organized factory environment
• Plan and oversee daily production: review orders and set weekly production schedule (revised daily), confirm all materials are available for production; set up materials daily; supervise production to achieve KPIs; oversee shipping; ensure daily cleaning and sanitation; prepare for Next Day production
• Manager of Equipment Operator and 7 Production Assistants – schedule, supervise and hire
• Achieve daily KPIs for production time, labor hours, waste
• Support Quality Control to achieve SQF standards
• Comfortable stepping into production line as necessary (lifting, moving, organizing, filling in on production line)
• Continuous Improvement mindset: Assist in growth/optimization of production

EXPECTATIONS

• Must have Factory Operations experience
• Must have people management experience
• Must have Production Planning experience (translated PO to actual production schedule in Excel)
• Role requires team leadership, manufacturing vision and hands on support
• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF
