Job Title: Operations Manager – Last Mile Delivery
Location: North Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with exceptional leadership skills to lead our last-mile delivery business, which supports a global logistics partner. This is a fast-paced, execution-focused leadership role—no sales or marketing to distract you—ideal for someone who excel in workforce management, operational planning, service delivery and building a work environment in which employees thrive.

About the Role

In this key leadership position, you’ll oversee all aspects of our business and delivery operations from our North Phoenix hub. You will manage a team of 28 to 35 drivers and 3 managers, ensuring that daily delivery targets and service levels are met while fostering a high-performance, positive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in workforce planning and operational execution, with experience navigating dynamic labor environments and handling real-time changes in staffing and workflow. This role is well-suited to individuals from restaurant, hospitality, military, logistics, or other industries where adaptability, leadership, and people management are essential.

This role has significant growth potential and could evolve into a General Manager or CEO-level position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily delivery operations to meet strict service targets and quality expectations.
  • Evaluate current workflows and implement process improvements to optimize performance.
  • Manage a variable workforce, including seasonal volume surges and last-minute staffing challenges.
  • Develop contingency plans to meet variable labor  and staffing demands.
  • Support driver teams
  • Build and maintain a culture of accountability, positivity, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with leadership to strategize long-term business development and resource planning.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and frontline operations.
  • Background in fast-paced, people-intensive environments such as logistics, restaurants, hospitality, military or other.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to act quickly and decisively.
  • Experience with workforce forecasting, scheduling, and contingency planning.
  • Hands-on leadership style—comfortable jumping in and supporting your team.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
