Job Overview:
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations phase for ODM with current and new Law Enforcement Agencies. This includes, but is not limited to, customer service, scheduling, approving, and publishing requests to all agencies. This position will serve as the main point of contact for coordinators, special event coordinators, and leads as we fulfill the needs of our Law Enforcement Agencies.
The Operations Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to deliver company-guided service levels and fill rates for our Law Enforcement Agencies. Secondary responsibility includes technology innovation support as needed. The Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of the assigned work area. Responsible for performing a full range of tasks to monitor and ensure excellence and quality in coordinator scheduling and operations performance.
- Facilitates throughout the scheduling area and the model of job fill rates applying evidence-based practices in accordance with ODM policies and procedures
- Monitors all issues which adversely affect scheduling and fill rates during all shifts and collaborates with leads to initiate resolutions. Assures resolution of issues involving equipment and or services to ensure departmental completion of daily work
- Uses independent judgment to investigate matters and give recommendations to the Director of Operations while providing consultative advice to management on improvement/implementation of policies and processes for the operation. Conduct analysis and implementation of agency requirements
- Assists in the agency-specific configurations of agencies individual ports. Creates and customizes communications. Evaluate scheduling documents and provide strategic direction and guidance to both internal operational functions and agency to mitigate project risks to all parties
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Develop a scheduling process flow for new agencies with the ability to manage and host communication calls for agencies, if needed, during the onboarding process.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, document, and define procedures for both successful and unsuccessful project elements for special events and establish best practices for event execution and development. Propose inefficiencies and provide innovative solutions to solve gaps.
- Serves as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to operations team members to encourage individual professional growth and development by promoting continuing education and skill competency, which supports department-based goals and contributes to the success of the organization
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing teams, operations, and complex tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment under stressful situations
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to navigate a Windows-based environment
- Ability to proficiently communicate verbally and in writing to team members at all levels
- Read and interpret documents such as RFPs, Statements of Work, and basic contracts
- Experience with software and mobile app systems
- Effective oral and written communication skills
