We are seeking a proven Operations Manager to lead ongoing operations of a tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. This position is fully accountable for all day-to-day production activities, team leadership, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure the successful start-up and scaling of operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong shop floor leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of quality and safety systems in the automotive sector. ** Relocation provided for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and take full responsibility for daily production operations, ensuring the seamless execution of activities during and after the facility launch.

Guide, manage, and prioritize all aspects of shop floor operations to meet startup objectives and long-term performance goals.

Ensure adherence to production schedules to meet customer requirements, quality expectations, and on-time delivery.

Lead the operations team in achieving or exceeding all departmental Key Operating Indicators (KOIs), including safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.

Develop and implement corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives in response to performance gaps or operational challenges.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key production metrics such as efficiency, scrap, downtime, and First Time Output (FTO).

Promote active involvement of team members in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.

Represent the production function in internal and customer-facing presentations, audits, and reviews.

Maintain strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and quality system documentation (e.g., Business Operating Procedures and Department Instructions).

Drive a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.

Ensure all activities comply with the requirements outlined in control plans and support quality assurance efforts.

Lead regular department meetings, support process improvement projects, and oversee the implementation of engineering changes.

Foster a work environment that prioritizes employee safety, engagement, customer satisfaction, and collaboration.

Ensure compliance with all corporate, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and the environment.

Promote and uphold the company’s Vision and Culture Operating Philosophy and all guidelines within the Employee Handbook.

Ensure proper documentation of operational activities and maintain readiness for internal and external audits.

Enforce adherence to emergency evacuation procedures and all safety protocols.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the success of the operation.
