Operations Manager
Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and support a group of high-performing care services across a designated region. Reporting to the Regional Director, you’ll play a key role in driving service excellence, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and strategic development. You’ll lead a portfolio of services that support children and adults with complex needs—making a meaningful impact in people’s lives every day.
This is a home-based role with regular travel across the region and the flexibility to work from a London base if .

Salary: £52,000 per annum + £3,000 car allowance

Key Responsibilities
Quality & Governance

- Drive services to achieve and maintain CQC/CIW ratings of Good or Outstanding\n
- Oversee internal audits, service visits, and improvement plans
- Effectively manage complaints, safeguarding, and regulatory issues
- Champion best practice in care, training, and compliance

Financial & Commercial

- Deliver on key performance indicators including staffing, occupancy, and EBITDA
- Support budget management and cost reduction initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to grow and sustain services

Leadership & People Management

- Directly manage and mentor a group of Registered Managers
- Promote development, wellbeing, and succession planning
- Foster a strong, values-driven leadership culture

Strategic Engagement

- Contribute to regional strategy and service development
- Build strong relationships with commissioners and partners
- Represent the organisation in external forums and meetings

The Person
✔ Proven experience in multi-site operational leadership
✔ Strong background in regulated social care or healthcare
✔ Excellent people and performance management skills
✔ In-depth understanding of CQC or CIW compliance frameworks
✔ Degree-qualified or equivalent experience
✔ Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required
