Comunidad Latina Federal Credit Union (CLFCU) is a not-for-profit financial institution serving the community of Santa Ana, California. We were founded in 2006 and are proud to have been the first Credit Union in the area to offer personal and auto loans to individuals who have an Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITIN).
Position Summary
CLFCU is seeking a highly skilled team player responsible for the Credit Union operations, the Member experience, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with the capability of improving processes and staff performance to enhance member service. Successful candidates will be able to lead a team at providing quality member service and promoting the products and services offered by CLFCU. The Operations Manager will assist the CEO to manage daily branch operations, implement internal controls, procedures, and strategic objectives for the success of the Credit Union.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversees the day-to-day operational functions of the branch.
- Supervises staff directly, including selection, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance goals, work allocation and resolving escalated matters.
- Acts as a resource and ensures daily responsibilities of staff are completed and proper procedures are followed. Analyzes departmental needs and makes enhancements as needed.
- Helps establish, communicate, and achieve the credit union’s goals and objectives, ensuring these are fully communicated to and understood by all branch staff.
- Maintains communication with key leadership roles by formulating recommendations regarding operational policies and procedures, as well as preparing daily, weekly, and month-end operation and productivity reports.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all governing regulations, including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP), Truth-in-Savings and Fair Credit Lending Practices
- Ensures promotion of credit union products and services through on-going coaching and counseling and establishment of performance goals.
- Represent and promote the Credit Union through relevant marketing materials and activate and engaged participation in community development activities.
- Responsible for various lending functions, including ensuring profitability of loan portfolio, cross-selling to acquire additional loans, overseeing collections procedures and underwriting.
- Assist with timely completion of monthly financials; accounts payable and receivables; related GL entries and balancing.
- Assists the CEO in the management of investment portfolio and serve as Joint Authorized Signer to various investments.
- Makes budget recommendations and ensures that operations costs align with approved budget controls.
- Assists with preparation of board packet and may be invited to attend Board of Directors meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by the CEO.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree and/or completion of a CU management program or equivalent experience is but not required. High School Diploma required.

Minimum of 5 years or more of related experience is .
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
