Position Overview

We are seeking a Operations, Production & Fabrication Manager who has at least 5 years experience managing in the Event & Production industry. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, production, equipment logistics, and event execution. You will be integral to ensuring the smooth functioning of all operational aspects, from managing warehouse and fleet maintenance to overseeing production, quality control, and custom builds. Your leadership will directly impact client satisfaction, employee development, product quality, and company performance. As a member of the leadership team, you will contribute to both short- and long-term planning and continuous improvement efforts.


Key Responsibilities


Warehouse & Logistics

  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring all equipment is properly stored, maintained, and event-ready.
  • Coordinate the timely and efficient transportation of rental equipment to and from event venues.
  • Ensure event setups and tear-downs are completed in alignment with client specifications and timelines.
  • Maintain fleet vehicles and rental equipment through regular maintenance and repair schedules.

Staff Management & Scheduling

  • Supervise warehouse, installation, and production staff to ensure efficiency and high-quality work.
  • Create daily and weekly schedules to meet operational demands.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and cross-training to develop staff skills across warehouse, logistics, and production.

Production & Quality Control

  • Manage production processes, including building, repairing, and finishing event rental products.
  • Implement and oversee quality control systems to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Develop and execute repair and restoration processes to maximize asset longevity.
  • Lead planning and execution of new product builds with emphasis on craftsmanship, durability, and brand standards.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized production environment with documented processes.

Client Relations & Problem Resolution

  • Address client concerns promptly and professionally to maintain strong relationships.
  • Support sales and event teams with product knowledge, production updates, and quality assurance insights.

Operational Efficiency & Budget Management

  • Manage operations within budget, identifying cost-saving measures while maintaining high standards.
  • Evaluate and improve processes to boost productivity and reduce downtime.

Safety & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain safety protocols in the warehouse, production shop, and during event installations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry safety standards.

Supervisory Duties

  • Oversee a team of 5–30 employees across warehouse, logistics, and production functions.
  • Manage staffing needs, training programs, performance reviews, and day-to-day delegation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree , or equivalent experience in event management, logistics, warehouse operations, or production.
  • Previous management experience in event logistics, warehouse operations, and/or production/fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control, repair processes, and production systems.
  • Skilled in woodworking, finishing, or related trades ().
  • Proven leadership ability with experience motivating and developing staff.
  • Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL .
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and willingness to learn event management/logistics software.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Primarily on-site in the warehouse and at event locations, with occasional travel required.
  • Schedule includes early mornings, late evenings, and weekends to meet event demands.
  • 85% of time spent in the warehouse/office managing operations.
  • 10% on-site at events overseeing installations and breakdowns.
  • 5% driving company vehicles for equipment transport.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $80,000 annually, salaried (dependent on experience).
  • Eligibility for company benefits after probationary period.
