Contrcats Manager\nReading -based Housing Client\n Ongoing Temporary Contract\n £255 per day Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35) / £211 PAYE \n ASAP Start\n\n We’re currently working with a leading Housing provider in Reading who are seeking an experienced Operations & Contrcats Manager to oversee and lead their tenancy and housing management teams in delivering a high-quality, -focused service.\n This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, organised, and forward-thinking manager with a strong track record in leading front-line housing operations and driving service performance.\n \nKey Responsibilities:\nManage and motivate a team delivering tenancy and housing management services across a defined patch.\nEnsure staff development through 1:1s, appraisals, training, and performance management.\nDeliver a compliant, value-for-money housing service aligned with best practice and legislation.\nLead performance reporting and quality assurance, ensuring service delivery targets are met.\nAct as lead contact with residents, members, clients and other stakeholders, including responding to complaints and MP enquiries.\nProduce neighbourhood plans, support engagement, and ensure robust contract management.\nDeputise for the Director of Commercial & Partnerships in key meetings.\nOversee budget controls, risk management, lone working processes and strategic delivery priorities.Requirements:\nProven experience of leading operational housing teams within social housing.\nExcellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.\nStrategic thinker with solid decision-making and leadership capabilities.\nIn-depth knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy law.\nContract and budget management experience, ideally within PFI or complex partnership arrangements.\nFlexible approach – occasional evening/weekend attendance may be required.\nStrong IT literacy and reporting skills.\n If you’re interested or would like more information, please get in touch today.\n James Glover (phone number removed) - (url removed)
