Job DescriptionInterim Operational Procurement Manager Hertfordshire (Hybrid) | Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35) Contract until January 2027 | Immediate Start We're recruiting for an experienced Operational Procurement Manager to join a major UK infrastructure organisation on an interim basis. You'll lead operational procurement activities, drive compliance with supplier frameworks, improve purchasing performance, and help establish a centralised buying desk model across the business. Key responsibilities: Lead day-to-day operational procurement activities. Drive cost avoidance and procurement best practice. Manage supplier performance and supplier compliance. Develop and improve procurement processes and SOPs. Analyse procurement data to support decision-making. Support supplier on-boarding, invoice resolution, and governance controls.Requirements: Proven operational procurement experience in a complex environment. Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills. Experience with procurement systems, reporting, and process improvement. MCIPS/CIPS or infrastructure/utilities experience would be advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a significant procurement transformation programme within a large infrastructure business.
