Why this role matters
Our plant relies on robust process quality systems to deliver safe, specification-true packaging. You will steer those systems, resolve issues at the source, and empower teams through clear KPIs and practical training.
How you’ll lead
- Maintain and modernize plant quality systems: inspection/test methods, work instructions, procedures, product specifications, GMPs, Food Safety Compliance, and best practices.
- Launch and sustain continuous improvement in plant and supplier quality performance.
- Protect product integrity by enforcing quality system adherence and making data-driven disposition decisions on finished goods relative to specifications.
- Serve as the primary customer contact to nurture relationships, resolve quality concerns, and provide technical and quality support.
- Guide root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer complaints and internal quality nonconformances; verify corrective action effectiveness through audits.
- Partner with Commercial, Product Development, and Corporate Engineering on new business opportunities and product trials.
- Drive timely resolution of coating and mill supplier defective material claims.
- Ensure adherence to SMA principles and procedures throughout the plant.
- Administer the HFI system, including balance, disposition, re-work, and inventory tracking.
- Confirm completion and accuracy of plant quality procedures and deliver concise quality reviews to management.
- Translate quality objectives (KPIs) into floor-level routines that promote compliance and accountability.
- Coach department leads and supervisors on process quality improvement methods and GMPs.
- Contribute to special plant projects with Corporate Quality Assurance and maintain continuous communication with all Ardagh Metal Packaging plants.
- Work closely with Human Resources to address and resolve personnel issues; directly supervise plant personnel (scope varies by location).

What sets you up for success
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline.
- 8+ years of manufacturing experience, including 4+ years in quality roles.
- Strong analytical ability, computer skills, and clear communication style; energetic and self-driven.
- Proven leadership and the ability to solve complex problems outside of standard procedures.

- Knowledge of Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
- Hands-on experience implementing improvement methods in can manufacturing.
- Background leading self-directed work forces.
