Onsite -Systems Engineer (Mid-Level) - Direct Hire - Clearwater, FL

Position Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with 4–5 years of aerospace or defense engineering experience to support the design, integration, and verification of electro-mechanical and avionics systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to grow, and comfortable working in a regulated, compliance-driven engineering environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical expertise while contributing to the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, analysis, and integration of electro-mechanical and avionics systems.

• Develop and execute system requirements, verification plans, and test procedures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure seamless product development.

• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and troubleshooting efforts.

• Assist in preparing and maintaining system-level documentation (interface control documents, test reports, compliance records).

• Contribute to compliance with FAA, military, and industry standards such as DO-160, DO-254, and MIL-STD-810.

• Provide technical support during prototype builds, system testing, and production release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).

• 4–5 years of relevant aerospace or defense engineering experience.

• Familiarity with FAA, DO-160, DO-254, or MIL-STD-810 compliance standards.

• Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Reqtify, or equivalent).

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA V5, or AutoCAD.

• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline.

• Experience with embedded systems or avionics software.

• Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
