Civil or Concrete Project Managers - Are you ready for your next Onsite Project?
Primary Responsibilities :
Ensure the established BP&P project management governance, procedures, tools, and financial controls are deployed and effectively utilized for assigned projects.
Demonstrate strong program and project governance and delivery skills – initiation, planning, execution, status reporting, financials, resource management, risks, issues, dependencies, and prioritization for assigned projects.
Take a leadership role in developing and maintaining productive relationships with key Customers and technology partners to facilitate cross-organizational communication, coordination, and transparency for assigned projects.
Support business case development with measurable benefits and costs for assigned projects.
Interface with stakeholders and senior management to confirm project sponsorship and support, agree on strategy, and report progress, achievements, significant issues, and risks.
Ensure all project participants are clear on project goals, benefits, methods, roles, and responsibilities.
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Business Services, and other departments on matters related to prime contract formation and administration.
Facilitate the development and maintenance of project Risk and Opportunity Registers with the project team.
Work directly with senior leadership to meet communication, budget, approach, results, and timing expectations.
Project Execution
General
Attend customer meetings with Project Managers/Site Managers and represent BP&P regarding prime contract-related matters.
Provide guidance to ensure timely identification, documentation, and resolution of prime contract-related commercial issues.
Train project personnel on compliance with prime contract requirements and risk mitigation.
Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive company information.
Contract Management
Oversee Project Managers/Site Managers to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements.
Coordinate to resolve prime contract issues from initiation to closeout.
Ensure proper flow-down of relevant prime contract provisions with Procurement and Subcontracts management.
Coordinate customer audits and rate adjustments related to the prime contract, liaising with auditors.
Draft and issue formal project correspondence with clarity and grammatical accuracy.
Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
Commitment to safety.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for complex issues with management, customers, and third parties.
Leadership ability to motivate and organize teams, analyze issues, and implement solutions.
Talent development and retention at the project level.
Proactive planning and resource management to meet project objectives.
Expertise in contract development, negotiation, change management, claims, dispute resolution, and legal interfaces.
Knowledge of power and process plant technology, standards, and systems.
Willingness to travel frequently to plant sites, offices, and customer facilities.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in management/supervision of medium to large EPC/CM projects.
