Offshore Material Coordinator 2nd Class
The Offshore Material Coordinator 2nd Class assures an organized flow of material from yard to offshore with minimal disruptions to the construction plan. This position is located at our Houma, LA facility and is not required to go offshore.
Essential Functions:
Coordinates the flow of materials between departments, according to production and shipping schedules
Distribute of all materials at the job site in a controlled manner
Maintain inventory levels of the surplus, bolts, gaskets, plugs, valves etc.
Compute number of materials required to complete job orders
Review material schedules with departments to define material requirements
Maintain an updated set of drawing revisions that are made
Display knowledge of material take-offs and proper callouts
Track and distribute the correct materials as per call out on the isometric drawings
Conduct proper bag and tag procedures
Display knowledge of material specifications and trace requirements
Ability and knowledge to properly direct personnel
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
Turning, twisting, bending and balancing
Pushing, pulling and reaching
Must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds
Job Requirements:
2+ years experience in material coordination in the oil and gas or related industry
Must be able to read isometric drawings
Experience performing bag and tag procedures
Must be able to operate a forklift
Must have knowledge of material take-offs and proper callouts
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
Must be able to pass a background check
Desirable Experience, Education and Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Environmental Conditions:
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors and in a warehouse environment. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes
