Offender Program Case Manager (BWRC)

Reports to: BWRC Program Director
Status: Full time, non-exempt


Purpose: The Case Manager (CM) of the Bethel Work Release Center (BWRC) is responsible for supervising
individual case management of in an adult residential Work Release facility on a daily basis.
Further, the CM works closely with the Program Supervisor and Program Director to develop continuity
and direction to all programs and supervise staff as appropriate. The CM ensures all licensing
requirements of 2920 are being followed, does regular training and research to ensure best practices
are being followed, and follows each status guideline.


MINIMUM DESIRABLE BACKGROUND:

  1. Bachelor's Degree, or
  2. Two years prior experience setting or human service field.
  3. Valid Drivers license.
  4. Working knowledge of Responsive practices.
  5. Working knowledge of court, probation/supervised release, and Release systems.
  6. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with , other staff members, and outside
    agencies.
  7. Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  8. Excellent verbal and written skills.
  9. Ability to structure time well and develop priorities.
  10. Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with multiple personalities and histories.
  11. Leadership skills, and the ability to assist with the direction and supervision of other staff.
  12. Must be able to pass criminal background check.


Essential Functions
Facilitate Groups according to the Moving On curriculum.
Ensure all programming is completed and in compliance with Arrowhead Regional Corrections Requirements
Transport clients to and from volunteer programs or other required programming.
If applicable, supervise Assistant Case Manager or Responsive Corrections Officer.
Ensure proper documents are completed and submitted to ensure statistics are measured.
Provide case management and individual service plans to .
Provide appropriate paperwork and reports to referring agents in a timely fashion.
Ensure that proper Department of Corrections, Federal Probation/Pretrial, and County standards are upheld.
Ensure all 2920 licensing requirements are upheld.
Ensure all Department of Health regulations are followed.
Ensure that the rules and regulations of the facility and contracting agencies are observed and followed by .
Maintain an environment that promotes motivation and change with a positive and cooperative attitude toward
, coworkers, and other Bethel staff.

Model appropriate behavior and for and Correction Officers.
Manage difficult and anticipate present and future needs.
Follow evidence-based practices and continue training.
