About the Team
ACCEL Schools is seeking a friendly, energetic and ethical Oasis Program Director in Westerville, Ohio.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and executing an after-school program in line with the Charter Schools' educational goals and beliefs.
- Establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Overall supervision of children enrolled in OASIS as well as, assigned primary care group.
- Establishing a positive, well-run and purposeful program responsive to the children's and parent's needs.
- Supervising a staff up to five and insuring licensing compliance and program quality.
- Assisting with the training and of OASIS staff.
- Acting as a resource person for OASIS staff.
- Planning and implementing special activities for the program.
- Planning monthly snack menus that are well balanced, nutritious, and appetizing and comply with state licensing and USDA requirements.
- Enrolling children.
- Keeping records system accurate and current including children's records, billing and attendance records and staff time sheets.
- Informing parents of account balances.
- Administering first-aid.
- Keeping parents informed by communicating effectively and on a continuous basis.
- Being assertive, but not aggressive in dealing with children's behavior.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
- Keeping the program space neat and organized. Decorating the area in keeping with children's interests and creations.
- Coordinating purchases with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and maintaining the inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Attending staff meetings, in-service training and workshops.
- Insuring safety compliance for children and employees.
- Keeping the CAO informed of all relevant information.
Qualifications:
- Required Educational/Experience Background: CDA (Child Development Associate) or an associate's degree from an accredited college or university including 30 hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years of experience with children.
- Educational/Experience Background: Bachelors degree in child development, early childhood education, special education, or the human services field and one-year experience working with school children. work experience includes management or supervisory duties
- Knowledge of children's physical, emotional and developmental patterns.
- Knowledge of general learning theories and curriculum development alternatives.
- Demonstrated professional skills in the area of curriculum planning, in-service staff training, program goal setting, lesson plans and establishing procedures for evaluating the progress of individual children.
- Sensitivity to the individual and group needs of children.
- Sufficient maturity and good judgment to function in a crisis situation.
- Sensitivity to the individual needs of parents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents.
- Ability to supervise a staff of up to five.
- Ability to evaluate staff on a regular basis (once every 9 months).
- Ability to administer a program and budget of relative scope and complexity.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $40,000-45,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
