Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting Plant Security management in the development, implementation, and oversight of the Physical Protection Program for Xe-100 plant. This role will focus on security planning for the construction of the plant facility, managing the Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty programs for both the construction site and the operating facility, and supporting the development of a robust Training and Qualification program for security personnel prior to the receipt of fuel. Additionally, the Analyst will assist in maintaining and operating X-energy's Safeguards Information (SGI) program, ensuring proper clearance and access management for individuals requiring access to SGI.
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities

Assist Plant Security management in creating and implementing security plans for the construction phase of the Xe-100 plant, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Support the development and implementation of Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty programs for both the construction site and operational facility, ensuring compliance with applicable security standards.
Collaborate in the creation and execution of a comprehensive training and qualification program for security personnel, preparing them for responsibilities related to fuel receipt and facility security.
Administrate and operate X-energy's SGI program, ensuring all personnel who require access to SGI are properly vetted and cleared in accordance with regulations.
Provide technical support for the security system infrastructure, including surveillance systems and intrusion detection, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly and in compliance with safety and security protocols.
Maintain awareness of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulatory requirements and ensure all security practices are in line with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to nuclear safety, physical protection, and SGI handling.
Contribute to the development and execution of defense strategies for the Xe-100 plant facility to ensure effective physical protection against security threats and incidents.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory agencies, and security teams, to facilitate smooth security operations.
Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
Lead the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, without close supervision and complete latitude for independent judgement.
Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
Serve as a mentor to junior team members.
Shares knowledge related to industry best practices and standards with others across the organization
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

Typically, twenty years of experience in a relevant role required.
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field from an accredited institution, in lieu of five years of relevant experience.
Expert understanding of NRC regulatory requirements, including those pertaining to physical protection and Safeguards Information (SGI) management.
Expert knowledge of security systems, including surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems (hardware and software).
Advanced experience in the development and implementation of security plans, access control programs, and fitness for duty programs.
Advanced experience in defense strategy development and incident response planning.
Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD
Work Arrangement: 4 Days Onsite per Week
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri
Travel Expectation: 10%
Compensation: $140,000- $195,000
Position Job Classification: Full time - Exempt
