Nuclear Project Manager
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Nuclear Project Manager to lead complex, high-stakes projects within the nuclear sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep industry experience, capable of managing multiple workstreams, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, driving projects from contract acceptance through final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Initiation & Planning
Review client contracts and initiate order acceptance, ensuring all documentation is approved and project timelines are clearly defined
Develop comprehensive communication plans for large-scale projects to ensure alignment across all stakeholders
Create detailed work plans that identify and sequence all activities required for successful project execution
Determine resource requirements (time, budget, equipment, personnel) and allocate them effectively across project phases
Execution & Monitoring
Build and maintain project schedules using Hippo, incorporating TML data and updating based on real-time progress
Submit Production Orders (JOFs) with appropriate documentation, including CGD, TIR, and work guides
Generate and submit Travelers with all required technical documentation (drawings, specifications, TIR, FATP)
Track progress against milestones and proactively identify and resolve deviations from the plan
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, are completed on time, and stay within budget
Vendor & Client Coordination
Create and manage spreadsheets for vendor purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement and delivery
Prepare all necessary paperwork for project completion and invoicing
Provide regular client updates and host monthly project review meetings to maintain transparency and trust
Serve as the liaison between internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth execution
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
Participate in GEMBA walks and internal project review meetings to identify process improvements
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal protocols
Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a strong background in the nuclear industry
PMP certification
Experience working within a regulated Quality program (e.g., NQA-1) is a strong plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and MS Project
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
