NPD Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

This role is a key engineering position dedicated to new product development across Rotork’s product range, shaping the company’s vision for future generations providing solutions to customers across the globe.

Reporting to the Engineering Team Lead, in this role you will work closely with the Operational, Procurement and Sales departments as well as the wider engineering team.

In this role you will work on new product development projects using 3D CAD and simulation software to meet international recognised standards, create bill of materials and engineering drawings, work with relevant colleagues to develop functional and non-functional test specifications to ensure compliance to requirements.

This role would suit a strong problem solver who relishes the opportunity in making a difference using innovative, methodical and logical thinking.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience of using 3D CAD and simulation software (SolidEdge and SimCenter preferred)
• Relevant experience within Mechanical or Industrial Design position
• Degree in Mechanical, Product Design or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Able to balance the short-term priorities with longer-term interests
• Holds excellent communication skills
