Your day to day as a Nonprofit Project Manager
The Safe Move Tulsa Project Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating daily operations and outcomes for the Safe Move Tulsa program, focusing on successfully rehousing and stabilizing clients experiencing or at risk of homelessness. By connecting outreach, housing navigation, unit acquisition, and move-in processes, this position is vital in achieving the program's encampment-to-housing and shelter-to-housing goals. The Project Manager fosters communication and accountability among internal teams, landlords, and community partners, ensuring a seamless transition from client engagement to housing placement. This role demands exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills, along with a strong aptitude for relationship building. A solid understanding of housing systems, Coordinated Entry, and landlord engagement strategies is essential to drive effective outcomes and support the mission of this Tulsa nonprofit in addressing homelessness.

To excel as the Safe Move Tulsa Project Manager, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in housing, homelessness, or social services. A minimum of two years in project management or similar cross-system coordination is essential. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of housing programs, landlord engagement, and rapid rehousing interventions. Proficiency in HMIS and data-driven performance management is crucial for evaluating program effectiveness.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills are vital for building relationships with landlords, community agencies, and government partners. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required for effective documentation and reporting. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for outreach and collaboration. qualifications include experience with federal, state, or city-funded housing programs, as well as familiarity with Tulsa's homeless service system and the A Way Home for Tulsa (AWH4T) Continuum of Care.
