Night shift Maintenance Technician needed at a growing industrial food manufacturing facility in Frederick, MD. 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation, with a structured pay advancement program and real room to grow as the facility expands.

Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, an established and expanding industrial food manufacturing operation in Frederick, MD. The facility runs fully automated production lines with eight or more pieces of equipment per line, from mixing to packaging, and is actively building out its maintenance team to support that growth. This is a demanding, hands-on environment where the work is real, the equipment is complex, and the team is invested in people who want to grow with them.

THE OPPORTUNITY You'll join the night shift maintenance crew supporting fully automated production lines in a high-volume food manufacturing environment. One line alone has eight different pieces of equipment. Nobody walks in knowing everything, and the team doesn't expect them to. What they do expect is a critical thinker who can assess a situation, work through it, and document their work. If you're well-rounded in both electrical and mechanical, and you're the kind of person who gets energized by complexity rather than overwhelmed by it, this role was built for you.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production line equipment across a full range, including mixing, conveyors, packaging, and everything in between
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults including 480V three-phase systems and motor controls
• Work with PLC-controlled systems to identify and clear faults (Siemens and Allen-Bradley)
• Perform preventive maintenance and document all work in a custom maintenance app (equipment, parts used, start/stop time -- takes about two minutes per entry)
• Support mechanical repairs on conveyors, packaging lines, and automated production equipment
• Respond to line-down situations with urgency and ownership

QUALIFICATIONS Required:

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills, both electrical AND mechanical (well-rounded candidates are rare and valued here)
• Hands-on experience with automated production systems or production line equipment
• PLC experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens)
• Ability to meet a 90% technician utilization standard -- this is a high-accountability environment where documentation matters
• Availability for night shift: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-2-3 rotating schedule

Bonus Points:

• Food or beverage manufacturing background
• VFD experience
• CMMS experience (any platform)
