Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer - Night Shift | St Helens, Merseyside



Location: Alexandra Warehouse, WA10 3LR

Hours: 10-hour night shifts, 5 nights a week (20:00-06:00, 1-hour unpaid break)

Pay Rate: £17.19 per hour

Join a team committed to sustainability and operational excellence. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in keeping essential systems running smoothly and identifying improvements that reduce downtime and enhance performance.



Key Responsibilities



Perform nightly engineering checks (fire-watch, guard checks, machine checks, emergency stops)

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on systems and machinery including conveyors, crushers, optical sorters, and motors

Respond to breakdowns and complete work orders

Report defects and suggest process improvements to reduce downtime



What We're Looking For



Essential:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
