- Full Time, Permanent, 8am-4.30pm Monday – Thursday, 8am-3.30pm Friday
- Salary circa £25,000 per Annum initially, progressing with Training & Development
- 20 days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays

The Company:
A leading manufacturer of nutritionally enriched baked goods whose protein rich ‘treats’ seek to disrupt the market. As a family business, they have experienced exceptional growth. Their workforce has doubled within the last 3 years and their site has grown to incorporate two facilities, both within ½ mile of each other.
The Role:
The New Product Development (NPD) Coordinator is a new position within the business, reporting to and working alongside the Business Development Director.
Initially you will provide a project support function, acting as a conduit between customers and suppliers. With training and development, this will organically evolve into an Advisory role, helping manage the development of new (NPD) and existing products (EPD).
As New Product Development (NPD) Coordinator, you will work closely with customers and the production team to ensure the journey from concept to launch runs smoothly, to agreed timescales and procedures.
Whilst the New Product Development (NPD) Coordinator will be required to work to strict deadlines, you will also need to ensure quality and technical standards are maintained throughout.
As the New Product Development (NPD) Coordinator, you will also be responsible for undertaking any administrative duties for the NPD department, ensuring documentation is accurately managed, filed and tracked.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for product development initiatives.
- Coordinate tasks, resources, and milestones to ensure timely product launches.
- Liaise with the buying team in sourcing new raw materials or packaging ensuring that all new raw materials are approved by the technical department.
- Develop knowledge of raw materials and factory processes to help develop new opportunities in product development.
- Assist in completing any relevant documentation required by the customer.
- Update project progress to the wider team, via frequent meetings and in accordance with project timelines.
- Involvement in generation of packaging artwork, approvals and co-ordination with the customer and buying department.
- Proof packaging artwork and ensuring compliance to all relevant laws.
- Support production and process team at pre-production and product launch.
- Responsible for NPD related administration, ensuring all documentation is up to date with accurate information, and stored appropriately.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Excellent project coordination skills, gained in academia or within the workplace, with the ability to work cross-functionally between multiple teams.
- Strong computer literacy skills, with proficient use of Microsoft packages and social media platforms.
- Flexible with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Strategic thinking and a creative problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent communication at all levels.
- Excellent numerical and organisation skills.
- Passion for food and a desire to contribute to the growth and innovation in the food industry.
