JOB DESCRIPTION
DakotaPro is seeking a Network Technician for a hands-on role supporting business and ISP infrastructure. This position combines field work, customer support, and network operations.
This is not an entry-level or siloed role. You will install, troubleshoot, and support real-world networking systems while developing the skills needed to grow into more advanced technical positions.
What You’ll Do

Install and maintain firewalls, switches, wireless radios, and VoIP systems

Perform structured cabling and equipment installations

Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues

Support customers via phone and ticketing system

Document work and contribute to internal knowledge

Participate in on-call rotation after training

Requirements
Required
-
CompTIA Network+ or equivalent knowledge (CCNA even better)!

1–3 years of technical experience (IT, telecom, networking, or similar)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools

Clear written and verbal communication

Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Ability to pass background screening
Physical & Field Requirements

Work safely at heights and on ladders

Lift 35 lbs unassisted

Hike desert terrain carrying equipment (~2 km)

Work outdoors in Southern Arizona conditions
(Not Required)

Experience with MSP or ISP environments

Familiarity with Ubiquiti, MikroTik, or Cisco

Wireless or VoIP experience

Cabling experience
