Job Description:

This position is a key member of the MIS department and will report to the VP of IT. This person will be required to manage and execute daily processes that support company operations to include vulnerability mitigation and remediation, data protection management, end user support, user administration, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. The position requires an elevated technical aptitude in Microsoft Windows computing environment, Microsoft Office products, as well as the ability to read and understand technical specifications in order to test and deploy new systems and upgrades. This position is classified as exempt under the FLSA and will not earn overtime for hours worked beyond 40 per week. In addition to a base salary, this position offers the potential to earn additional incentives through a structured performance bonus program.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Consult with management and end users to analyze and determine hardware, software, and functional requirements of new and existing systems
  • Provide feedback to management on network and systems functionality, serviceability, improvements and end of life issues
  • Develop and maintain policies and standards for network systems and services
  • Interact with clients and vendors as required
  • Monitor, manage and maintain networks, servers and storage systems
  • Review and resolve system patching requirements
  • Vulnerability identification and remediation
  • Provide escalated support for L1 issues
  • Initiate vendor contact for escalated issues
  • Ensure data backup integrity and availability including fulfilling data recovery requests
  • Configure, install and maintain software systems as part of the team
  • Identify, manage and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Respond to staff requests effectively and communicate with them to address issues
  • Update user access for IT applications for new and current employees
  • Troubleshoot and analyze technical issues and situations with critical thinking skills
  • Research technology improvements and bring to the team

Job Competencies:

  • Experience with: Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Storage Systems, Virtualization Platforms, Microsoft 365 Applications, TCP/IP Networks, & VOIP/Unified Communications
  • Advanced Windows desktop and server skills
  • Advanced computer network troubleshooting and configuration skills
  • The ability to produce technical and procedural documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a technical team
  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion to resolve problems
  • Great problem-solving skills commensurate with experience
  • Great customer service skills with the ability to maintain professional demeanor when dealing with difficult or emotional situations

Qualifications Required:

  • 2+ years of L2 System Administrator experience
  • 5+ years IT focused work experience in a corporate information technology environment
  • Industry certifications will be advantageous
