This role designs, supports, and optimizes enterprise network infrastructure supporting voice, data, wireless, and collaboration services across a global professional services environment. The position balances architecture, hands-on engineering, operational support, and resiliency planning to ensure reliable and secure network services.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve network and infrastructure incidents, restoring services quickly while minimizing business impact

  • Design, test, and support network components across multiple deployment phases, from planning through production

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure statements of work are executed accurately and implementations meet technical expectations

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on enterprise networking equipment

  • Contribute to network strategy initiatives, recommending solutions related to performance, scalability, and security

  • Define, monitor, and maintain network performance KPIs, supporting capacity planning and infrastructure forecasting

  • Participate in the design and sustainment of disaster recovery and business continuity environments to support minimal downtime objectives

  • Take ownership of assigned network projects, following established work plans and meeting delivery milestones

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco-based network infrastructure within a global enterprise environment

  • Analyze existing network architecture to identify efficiency improvements and ROI optimization opportunities

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including detailed incident resolutions within the knowledge management system

  • Support the creation and evolution of network standards and specifications aligned with firm-wide IT direction

  • Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve cross-domain technical issues

  • Participate in the Network Operations on-call rotation, providing 24/7 global support coverage

RequirementsEducation & Experience

  • Four-year college degree ; equivalent professional experience considered

  • Minimum five years of experience supporting enterprise networking within a global Cisco-based environment, including voice technologies

  • Prior experience in legal IT or professional services environments

  • CCNA and/or CCNP certification, or equivalent demonstrated expertise

Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrated experience with routing and networking concepts, including BGP, EIGRP, QoS, SD-WAN, and TCP/IP

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco switching platforms, including Nexus IOS and Catalyst 9400 / 9000 series

  • Familiarity with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, Azure cloud networking, Palo Alto firewalls, and Prisma Access

  • Exposure to Linux environments and Ansible-based network automation is a plus

  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to evaluate and implement new technologies or process improvements to address complex technical challenges

Communication & Professional Skills

  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of reports, procedures, and technical documentation

  • Ability to select the appropriate communication method for varying stakeholders

  • Comfortable presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, and cross-functional groups

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical problems to ensure accurate and sustainable resolution
