Network Field Services Engineer, PrestonRoc Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Network Field Service Engineer to join our dedicated on-site team in Preston.This is a hands-on, operational role responsible for maintaining and supporting our client's network infrastructure, ensuring contractual service levels are consistently achieved and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will play a key role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting network equipment across the campus environment.If you have strong networking skills, enjoy solving technical challenges, and thrive in a customer-facing environment, we'd love to hear from you.As a Network Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Installing and commissioning network switches and associated infrastructureConfiguring switching environments and network equipmentConfiguring and supporting Juniper Wireless Access PointsDiagnosing and resolving wired network issues, escalating where appropriateMaintaining network availability through routine maintenance and preventative activitiesReplacing faulty network hardware, including switches, wireless access points, and associated peripheralsTroubleshooting incidents and keeping customers informed throughout the resolution processMaintaining accurate and detailed records within Roc's IT Service Management platformWorking as part of an on-call rota to provide support for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents, including on-site attendance when requiredLiaising with third-party vendors and support providers to progress incidents and requestsDelivering excellent customer service and maintaining high levels of customer satisfactionWe're looking for someone who can demonstrate:Technical KnowledgeKnowledge of Juniper switching and wireless technologiesUnderstanding of network infrastructure and LAN cabling best practicesAbility to diagnose and resolve network-related issuesPersonal AttributesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyStrong team player with a collaborative approachExcellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlinesProfessional, resilient, and committed to delivering service excellenceExperiencePrevious experience in a customer-facing IT support or network support roleExperience working within a team environmentComfortable working in a fast-paced operational settingDesirable SkillsHands-on Juniper networking experienceNetwork security knowledgeNetwork cabling installation, surveying, and infrastructure experienceWhat We're Looking For:Successful candidates will demonstrate:Ownership and accountability for resolving issues through to completionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solvingThe ability to plan and prioritise workloads effectivelyA commitment to delivering outstanding customer serviceAdditional InformationParticipation in an on-call support rota is required.A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be completed shortly after commencement of employment.This role is fully site-based in Preston.TPBN1_UKTJ
