Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNetwork Engineer & Data Architect OpportunityPosition OverviewAbel Personnel is seeking a skilled Network Engineer & Data Architect to join a mission-driven organization in Lancaster, PA. This hybrid role offers competitive compensation of $75,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will excel at the intersection of sophisticated network architecture and modern data engineering, playing a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure, high-performance solutions.Role ResponsibilitiesThis is not a routine maintenance position, but rather an opportunity for a visionary technologist to lead the design and execution of robust network and data solutions. The selected professional will architect secure SD-WAN infrastructure and implement a Microsoft Fabric data warehousing environment. The role demands an individual who can independently manage both network and data initiatives, taking charge of projects from conception through completion.Key Technical Focus Areas

• SD-WAN Architecture (Fortinet): Take ownership of designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive SD-WAN environment. Responsibilities include working with FortiGate and FortiManager to ensure secure and seamless connectivity across multiple regional offices.
• Data Warehousing (Microsoft Fabric): Serve as the primary architect for data initiatives, utilizing Microsoft Fabric to ingest, transform, and visualize data. Create a unified data source that supports reporting and financial metrics.
• Infrastructure Sovereignty: Lead a hybrid Azure and on-premises environment with autonomy, managing multiple locations and acting as the ultimate escalation point for all system and network concerns.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Network Expert: Possesses 3–7 years of experience with a strong emphasis on Fortinet products and SD-WAN deployment. Capable of taking network designs from initial concept to full implementation.
• Data Engineer: Demonstrates proven experience with Microsoft Fabric or related tools such as Power BI or Synapse, with a comprehensive understanding of data flows, ETL processes, and scalable data warehouse construction.
• Independent Operator: Functions autonomously, confidently configuring VLANs and securing cloud tenants without supervision. Enjoys being the primary technical resource.

Qualifications

• Required: Hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN and Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.
• Certifications: NSE 4/5 (Fortinet), Azure Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer.
• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
