We are actively seeking a highly skilled Network and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Madison, WI. This is an onsite role that involves managing and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and Wireless networks, as well as providing support for Data Center operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco Layer 2 Layer 3 Routing, Cisco Wireless Networks, and Cisco PBX Administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operations support for LAN, WAN, and Wireless networks across multiple locations.

  • Troubleshoot and administer Cisco Layer 2 Layer 3 Routing, Cisco Wireless Networks, and Cisco PBX Administration.

  • Support IT Cabling, Infrastructure Planning, and Design, including cable patching, switch configuration, and port management.

  • Conduct TCP/IP, DHCP, Subnetting, VLAN, and POE configurations.

  • Perform network maintenance, support, and refresh to optimize performance.

  • Utilize packet capturing tools like Wireshark to diagnose and resolve network issues.

  • Manage Data Center (Server Room) operations, including Power/UPS, HVAC, and cabling.

  • Install and troubleshoot server room hardware components like Rack Servers, Fiber, switches, disk drives, and memory.

  • Provide Smart Hands support for remote teams and 3rd-party vendor management for issue escalation/resolution.

  • Administer Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2016), including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Configure and maintain SAN/NAS storage systems and ensure server, storage, and backup systems are optimized and secure.

  • Support plant floor hardware, including ANDON and PLC (Programmable Logic Controls).

  • Monitor network traffic, perform scheduled upgrades, and troubleshoot outages effectively.

  • Ensure Change Management processes are followed for all updates and modifications.

& Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with Network Switching (LAN Technology).

  • Cisco Certified - CCNA.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Layer 2 Layer 3 Routing, Cisco Wireless Networks, and Cisco PBX Administration.

  • Proficiency with packet capturing tools like Wireshark for in-depth troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2016, SAN/NAS storage, and server hardware maintenance.

  • Strong skills in Data Center Management and Infrastructure Planning and Design.

  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, Subnetting, VLAN, and POE.

  • Ability to perform remote support and troubleshooting for off-site teams.

  • On-call availability and willingness to travel to other client sites as required.

& Experience:

  • Experience with plant floor hardware support and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).

  • Knowledge of Server 2012/2016 Policy and Security Management.

  • Familiarity with Change Management processes and ITIL methodologies.
