This is an on-site role based in Madison, WI. Remote work is not available for this position.
Seeking an experienced Network and Infrastructure Engineer to support high-level network operations, server infrastructure, and critical plant systems. This Tier 3 position demands strong technical troubleshooting, rapid response capabilities, and hands-on experience across both network and server environments.
Core Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco LAN/WAN/Wireless networks, Layer 2/3 routing, PBX systems, and standard protocols.

Support infrastructure setup and maintenance: cabling, switch deployments, port management, and traffic analysis (e.g., Wireshark).

Administer and support Windows Server (2012/2016), including DHCP, DNS, SCCM, file shares, and print services.

Perform hardware diagnostics and replacements for rack servers, switches, disk drives, fiber, and backup systems (SAN/NAS).

Manage data center environments including HVAC, UPS, and power systems.

Provide Smart Hands support for remote teams and interface with third-party vendors for escalation and resolution.

Support manufacturing technology, including PLCs, ANDON systems, and other production-critical applications.

Respond quickly to outages and incidents—critical plant floor equipment requires resolution within 15 minutes.

Participate in an on-call rotation and be available to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications

7+ years of experience in enterprise-level networking and infrastructure roles.

Strong proficiency with Cisco networking (routing, switching, wireless); CCNA certification required.

Experience with TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, PoE, and network packet capture tools.

Proven experience in server administration, hardware maintenance, and remote support.

Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and escalation management skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders/stairs to access equipment.

Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service under pressure.
Skills
-
Knowledge of plant-floor manufacturing tech (GALC, AER, PTCS, etc.)

Familiarity with Active Directory, GPOs, and change management processes

Experience supporting remote teams and using remote desktop/control tools

Comfortable traveling to client sites within the U.S. for short-term support

TMMBC English Competence: 50%–100%
