Job description

​Contract: 6 months rolling (Outside IR35)

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join an energy trading client. The team is currently building a new system to manage Day Ahead trading positions and provide access to Day Ahead wholesale power auctions.

​

This role will involve working on a modern technology stack, with a .NET back end and React front end, hosted on AWS. You will be instrumental in developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions that directly support critical trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications supporting Day Ahead trading and wholesale market auctions.

• Work across the full stack (.NET back end, React front end) in an AWS-hosted environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, analysts, and other developers.

• Deliver clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.

• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making.

• Support and enhance existing systems where required.
  

Requirements

• Must have experience working in commodities trading

• Strong commercial experience with .NET (C#) back-end development.

• Proven expertise with React for front-end development.

• Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services.

• Background in delivering enterprise-level or trading-related systems.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
