Iron Horse is hiring a Level II UT-Certified NDT Technician for a full-time, in-house position at our Beaumont, TX location. This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced technician whos ready to step off the travel circuit and into a stable, home-based careerno more chasing the next gig or living out of a suitcase.

What Youll Do:
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on railcar components using UT (Level II required), UTT, MT, and PT methods
- Maintain AAR-compliant documentation including training logs, exams, and certifications
- Use digital tablets to complete inspection records and reports
- Enter and exit confined spaces and railcars as needed (mostly indoor shop work; occasional yard work within the plant)
- Support QA and Repair Shop with in-process inspection work if available
Qualifications:
Required:
- Level II UT certification with documented training hours, testing records, and prior certifications suitable for AAR transfer
- Additional valid certifications in UTT, MT, and PT
- Ability to enter confined spaces, climb ladders, and work around railcars
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Experience working with tank cars or ASME pressure vessels
- Familiarity with inspection equipment (Epoch 600/650/6LT, Olympus 45MG, etc.)
- Proficiency with digital documentation tools (PDF, Excel, Word, tablets)
