We have a fantastic full time career opportunity in Chicago for a qualified NDT Quality Control Inspector to work on 1st or 2nd shift.
You will execute dimensional inspections of critical, large machine parts for our nuclear business.
Candidate must be proficient with performing accurate inspections using analog micrometers and calipers
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Strong background working in manufacturing in a custom precision machining facility.

Use manual precision measuring equipment for a variety of parts/components.

Ideal candidate will have current experience using micrometers up to 60 inches.

Dimensionally inspect large parts using large analog micrometers, gauges, calipers
-
Calibration of measuring and test utilized for performing inspection and test activities.

NDT Inspection (PT-UT - RT - MT) and hardness inspection on pumps.

Utilize the Epicor ERP system for collecting and documenting findings.

Develop detailed reports for incoming, in process and final inspection.

Ability to learn the nuclear industry requirements as it pertains to meeting documentation processes and following travelers job requisitions for each component inspected.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- **NDT Methods: UT - PT - MT - RT
**
- Faro Arm or Romer Arm experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Minimum 5 years previous inspection experience.

Must have used analog measuring tools for 5 or more years in manufacturing.
-
**Experience using manual analog precision tools: micrometers, gauges, calipers, inside outside and depth micrometers
**

2+ years of NDT experience desired.

Ability to prioritize and take direction from all levels of management.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficient computer skills, familiar with MS Office suite.

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
